The Real Shift

A lot of people who grow up in church but do not have a real relationship with Christ lack understanding of what walking with Christ really is. It’s not about religion, it’s about relationship. But we often start out doing what we know, following routines, thinking that this is what we are supposed to do.

In the beginning, faith often looks like structure, doing what we’re taught, following routines, and leaning on what we’ve seen or heard others do. But as we grow, our faith begins to deepen. It becomes less about what we do outwardly and more about what we truly believe inwardly.

Just like a learning curve, there are stages. At first, you don’t fully understand, you’re learning, trying, and sometimes just going through the motions. But over time, as you experience God for yourself, your faith becomes more personal, more confident, and more aligned with Him. You begin to move not just out of habit, but out of trust.

I’m learning that growing in faith means learning how to move with God, not just follow patterns.
