For more than 20 years, I have witnessed the challenges, sacrifices, and emotional demands of working in healthcare. Through it all, my faith in God and the power of prayer have been a constant source of strength. During some of my most difficult moments as a nurse, I have experienced firsthand what happens when a community of believers comes together in prayer. This is my personal testimony of faith, answered prayers, and why I believe prayer and spiritual support have an important place in the lives of healthcare professionals.

WHO IS CARING FOR THE CAREGIVERS?
A Personal Testimony and Invitation to Nurses, CNAs, and Healthcare Professionals
For more than 20 years, I have dedicated my life to caring for others.
I began my healthcare career as a companion, served as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for ten years, and eventually became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Throughout my journey, I have witnessed the extraordinary beauty of nursing. I have seen compassion in action, witnessed remarkable acts of kindness, and worked alongside dedicated healthcare professionals who consistently put the needs of others before their own.
But I have also witnessed the sacrifices, struggles, and heartbreaking realities that come with this profession.
The Sacrifices Behind the Uniform
The COVID pandemic changed healthcare forever.
Many of us experienced loss, fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty unlike anything we had ever known. We watched patients suffer, comforted families, and continued showing up for work even when our own hearts were heavy.
And some of the people we lost were our fellow caregivers.
I will never forget a Director of Nursing at one of my workplaces who continued reporting to work while receiving IV treatments for cancer. Despite battling her own illness, she remained dedicated to her profession and the people who depended on her.
Sadly, she has since passed away.
Her story is one of many that have stayed with me throughout my nursing career.
I have witnessed the loss of so many dedicated nurses and healthcare professionals, including those who gave so much of themselves during the pandemic.
Today, the challenges continue.
Nurses and nursing assistants are facing increasing responsibilities, challenging patient behaviors, staffing difficulties, emotional exhaustion, and demanding working conditions.
Yet every day, they continue showing up.
They continue caring.
They continue giving.
And sometimes, they continue doing so while quietly carrying burdens of their own.
But who is caring for the caregivers?
Behind every uniform is a human being.
Someone’s mother. Someone’s father. Someone’s daughter. Someone’s son. Someone’s friend.
Someone who may be struggling silently while continuing to care for everyone else.
Someone who needs love, encouragement, compassion, and support, too.
My Personal Testimony: The Power of a Praying Community
As a nurse, I understand these challenges personally.
And I can testify that throughout the pandemic and the many challenges of my nursing career, my faith in God, the power of prayer, and the love of a community of believers have helped sustain me.
There have been moments when I needed encouragement.
Moments when I needed strength.
And moments when I simply needed to know that someone was praying for me.
But there have also been moments when I needed immediate prayer while facing extremely difficult situations at work.
During some of the most challenging circumstances I have encountered as a nurse, I have reached out to our prayer community with what we call a “911 Prayer Request.”
These are urgent requests asking our community of believers to come together immediately in prayer over a particular situation.
And I want to share something from my heart.
Every single time I have submitted a 911 Prayer Request, God has answered our prayers. EVERY TIME!
I have witnessed firsthand what it means to have a community of believers standing with you in faith when circumstances seem overwhelming.
There is something incredibly comforting about knowing that while you are caring for others, there are people praying for you.
People who may not be physically present but are standing alongside you spiritually.
People who genuinely care about what you are going through.
People who will stop what they are doing and lift your situation before God.
For me, this is more than a prayer line.
It is a lifeline of faith, love, encouragement, and spiritual support.
And that is something I believe every caregiver deserves to experience.
An Invitation to The Breakthru Power Prayer Line
To every nurse, CNA, caregiver, and healthcare professional reading this:
You spend so much of your life caring for others. I want to invite you into a community where someone is praying for you, too.
The Breakthru Power Prayer Line is a community of faith, fellowship, encouragement, love, and prayer.
Our prayer community was founded by a nurse, and our pastor, Pastor Lisa Gaither, is also a nurse.
We understand the importance of compassion, service, and caring for others. But we also recognize that those who give so much of themselves need encouragement and spiritual support.
And while this invitation is especially for healthcare professionals, I want to make something very clear.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
Whether you are a nurse, teacher, business owner, first responder, parent, retiree, or someone simply navigating the challenges of everyday life, there is a place for you in our community.
We believe that prayer, love, and fellowship can bring people together regardless of their profession, background, or circumstances.
We are not simply gathering to pray.
We are building a community where people can feel connected, encouraged, valued, and loved.
Come Pray With Us!
Our community gathers throughout the week for prayer, spiritual growth, encouragement, and fellowship.
Live Morning Prayer
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 8:30 AM Eastern.
We also offer:
- Wednesday Wisdom
- Faith and Finance Friday
- Sunday Worship
Through our WhatsApp community and The Love Transfer Network, members can stay connected, share encouragement, and submit prayer requests throughout the week.
Whether you are coming home from a long nursing shift, facing a difficult personal situation, seeking spiritual encouragement, or simply looking for a loving community of believers, we welcome you.
You do not have to face life’s challenges alone.
You do not have to carry every burden in silence.
And you do not have to be strong every moment of every day.
Sometimes, even the strongest caregivers need someone to lift them up in prayer.
A Final Word From My Heart
After more than two decades in healthcare, I have come to understand something that I believe we need to talk about more often.
Caregivers need care, too.
We need love.
We need encouragement.
We need community.
And yes, we need prayer.
I know what it feels like to be responsible for the well-being of others while facing challenges of my own.
But I also know what it feels like to have a community of people who genuinely care enough to pray for me when I need it most.
And that is the experience I want to share with others.
We spend our lives caring for others. Sometimes, we need someone praying for us, too.
So, to my fellow nurses, CNAs, healthcare professionals, and anyone seeking a loving community of faith, I personally invite you to join us.
Come experience the love, encouragement, fellowship, and power of prayer that have meant so much to me.
You never know when you may need someone to stand with you in prayer.
And when that moment comes, I want you to know that you do not have to stand alone.
