God Ain’t Playin’ No Games Out Here

Real-Life Testimonies of God’s Faithfulness
There comes a point in your walk with God when you begin to realize that He is not distant, silent, or uninvolved. He is actively working behind the scenes—opening doors, answering prayers, protecting, providing, connecting people, and orchestrating circumstances in ways that only He can.
This Blog Page is a collection of those moments.
These are not fictional stories or exaggerated experiences. They are real-life testimonies of God’s faithfulness as I walk with Him day by day. Some moments are extraordinary, while others are found in the ordinary details of everyday life. Yet each one reminds me that God is present, purposeful, and always at work.
To respect the privacy of those whose lives intersect with these testimonies, some names and identifying details have been changed. While certain details have been modified to protect privacy, every testimony is based on real events and reflects the faithfulness of God.
My prayer is that these testimonies strengthen your faith, encourage your heart, and remind you that the same God who is moving in my life is able to move in yours.
Because one thing I’ve learned is this…
God ain’t playin’ no games out here.
He’s answering prayers.
He’s opening doors.
He’s closing doors.
He’s protecting His people.
He’s orchestrating divine appointments.
He’s changing lives.
And if we slow down long enough to pay attention, we’ll begin to see His fingerprints everywhere.

God Ain’t Playin’ No Games Out Here
When God Uses a Cancelled Shift
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
— Romans 8:28
Sometimes God doesn’t announce what He’s is doing.
He simply begins moving pieces into place.
Only later do we realize He had been orchestrating everything all along.
This is one of those moments.
It Started With a Cancelled Shift
At the beginning of my overnight shift, a coworker told me she had been cancelled. She had no ride home and asked if she could wait in my car until I got off work.
“Of course,” I said.

It seemed like a simple favor.
I had no idea God was setting up a divine appointment.
When I finished work around 8:00 a.m., later than usual, my first thought was,
“Good… she’ll get to hear The Breakthru this morning.”
I had given her rides before and had invited her to listen to The Breakthru Powerline, but she always declined, telling me she didn’t believe in God.
I respected her honesty and never pushed the issue.
This morning would be different.
Before the Call Began
While we waited for the prayer line to begin, I played music by Andrew “Jimmy Sol” Young.
One song simply thanked God for everyday blessings; water, His Word, and the gift of life.
As the conference line remained on hold, the song repeated several times.
I noticed she wasn’t just hearing it…
She was listening.
Then she quietly began repeating some of the words.
I could already see her heart beginning to soften.
“I Don’t Believe in God”
When the prayer line began, I smiled and said,
“Since you’re already in the car, you might as well tell God what you’re thankful for.”
She looked at me and replied,
“Jackie… I don’t believe in God.”
Then her voice cracked.
“I keep asking… why is God letting all of this happen to me?”
At that moment, I still had no idea what she was carrying.
I simply encouraged her.
“Tell Andrew exactly that. Be honest. You may get some of your questions answered today.”
God Already Had the Message Prepared
That morning was Thankful Thursday on The Breakthru.
As only God could orchestrate, Andrew opened the call talking about gratitude.
He reminded us that we often overlook God’s greatest blessings because they seem ordinary.
Life.
Breath.
Another day.
Another opportunity.
As he spoke, I watched her.
She whispered,
“You know what… he’s right.”
Then she courageously shared with Andrew exactly what was on her heart.
Without knowing anything about her life, Andrew began sharing his own testimony about difficult seasons, disappointment, and discovering that God never leaves us, even when life hurts.
I looked over.
The woman who had started the morning saying she didn’t believe in God…
Was now nodding.
Agreeing.
Even saying,
“Amen.”
Only God could do that.
Then the Truth Came Out
After the call ended, she finally opened up.
She told me she had lost her home.
She was homeless.
She had nowhere to go that day.
Then she quietly admitted that her phone had been disconnected.
She needed $69 to turn it back on.
Earlier that morning she had asked me if I could loan her money.
Honestly, I hesitated because I thought she needed hundreds of dollars.
But after hearing her story…
After witnessing what God had just done…
My heart changed.
I smiled and said,
“I’ll take care of your phone.”
Months earlier I had supported an organization that helps women in crisis.
I immediately called the director, who connected us with a local intake center that could begin helping her find housing.
Again, I just shook my head.
Look at God.
God Is Waiting on You
As we continued talking, she kept asking,
“Why wasn’t God there for me?”
I gently said,
“The truth is… He has always been there.”
“He never stopped loving you.”
“He never stopped pursuing you.”
“He’s been waiting on you.”
I told her that we often spend so much time asking where God is that we never stop to realize He has been waiting for us to take the first step toward Him.
His arms have always been open.
He isn’t hiding from us.
He’s inviting us.
He’s waiting for us to seek Him.
That’s why one of my favorite songs by Andrew “Jimmy Sol” Young is called “God Is Waiting on You.“
Its message is simple:
God isn’t absent.
He’s waiting for us to come to Him.
I reminded her,
“Think about everything that happened today.”
“Your shift was canceled.”
“You ended up in my car.”
“I’ve been inviting you to this prayer line for months, and I never knew your story.”
“Andrew’s message spoke directly to your heart without knowing anything about your life.”
“Your phone is getting turned back on.”
“A housing resource has been placed in front of you.”
“None of this happened by accident.”
As I spoke, a knowing smile slowly came across her face.
She quietly nodded her head in agreement.
I could tell she was beginning to see what I saw.
God hadn’t abandoned her.
He had been pursuing her all along.
One Conversation I’ll Never Forget
As we drove, she quietly said,
“Jackie… you and one other person are the only people I know who really believe in God. Everyone else I know doesn’t.”
I smiled and gently asked,
“And how is that working for them?”
She became quiet.
She thought about it.
But she never answered.
She didn’t have to.
The silence answered the question.
Reflection
By the end of that morning, the woman who had started the day saying she didn’t believe in God…
Was asking more questions about The Breakthru.
She wanted to know what days we met.
She wanted to come back.
Not because someone argued with her.
Not because someone pressured her.
But because she encountered the love of God.
Looking back, this wasn’t just about a canceled shift.
It wasn’t just about a ride home.
It wasn’t just about a prayer call.
It wasn’t just about $69.
God was orchestrating every detail to remind one of His daughters,
“I’m still here.”
That’s why I keep saying…
God ain’t playin’ no games out here.
Sometimes the greatest miracles don’t begin in a church building.
Sometimes they begin with a canceled shift…
An open car door…
A willing heart…
And a God who has been waiting all along.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us that You are always at work, even when we cannot see it. Help us recognize the divine appointments You place in our lives each day. Give us hearts that are willing to serve, ears that are ready to listen, and eyes that see people the way You see them.
For those who feel forgotten or abandoned, remind them that You have never left them. Your arms are open, Your love never fails, and You are always waiting for us to draw near.
Use us to be instruments of Your grace and to point others toward the hope found in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
